About Sherry Platt Berman, MA
I’ve been involved in career counseling for over 15 years. I like to describe myself as having 360 degrees of experience because I’ve worked as a hiring manager, recruiter and as a career counselor. I’ve helped the poor and homeless, the wealthy and educated, to make career decisions and find employment. I’ve consulted for nonprofit organizations, high tech corporations and with university career centers. What makes me a great career counselor is that I know what the employer looks for in an employee and what the candidate wants from their employer.
To help you make the decisions that are right for you, I draw from a variety of therapeutic foundations such as Buddhism and Western Psychology, Kabbalism, and Shamanic Traditions. I have a Masters degree in Counseling specializing in Life Transitions from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelors in Broadcast Management from the University of Florida. I am also an Interfaith Spiritual Director.
What I want you to know most about me is that I care about your happiness and I want you to care about your happiness. Happier more satisfied people make a real difference in the world. I believe that is why the word “Career” is primarily comprised of the word Care-er.
